Middle School Health

As we have transitioned into the second quarter, there are some new faces in the 6th and 8th-grade health classes. In the 8th-grade class, we have started with how the environment plays a role in a person's health and how each student can help reduce pollution in their own environment. In the 6th-grade class, we are beginning at step one with the question, "what is health?".  We recently covered the nine life skills and other items related to a person's health. (See picture)

The 7th-grade health class is getting to experience something new in their schedule. This year, instead of being divided, we have moved the entire 7th-grade health class to the auditorium on Fridays for a variety of health-related presentations and assignments. Since the beginning of school, we have covered the systems of the body, and most recently discovered the different functions of ears and eyes.

We are having a great time learning about health in Middle School!
