The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art host an annual Photography Scholars Program for exceptionally talented high school students. This prestigious, competitive program only accepts a few of its applicants, almost all of which are in the Kansas City area. The program consists of eight classes where students work with museum staff and professional artists to create a series of photographs with the finished work being displayed in the Ford Learning Center Galleries.

Junior Graycie R. was selected for this years program. Her photography portfolio was labeled "highly impressive" by the museum photography department! Graycie is the second student from PCR1 to be a part of the Photography Scholars Program!
