Third Grade Field Trip

Our third-grade students enjoyed another great field trip to Kansas City earlier this month.  Our first stop was the Steamboat Arabia Museum.  This museum is home to the largest collection of pre-Civil War artifacts in the world.  The students were able to learn about life in Missouri before the Civil War.  During the tour, we received a surprise:  Jerry Mackey, one of the museum's founders, joined our guided tour.  The students enjoyed hearing a first-hand account of the excavation.

After eating lunch, the students then visited Legoland where we enjoyed a 4D movie, rides, and of course, building with Lego.

We had an awesome day!  Thanks to all the parents for helping and for dropping off/picking up their children.  Special thanks to Randall Olmstead for another safe and successful trip.
