Internet Safety
Detective Steve Feeney from the Kirksville Regional Computer Crimes Unit came to the elementary to talk to 5th-grade students about internet safety this week. Detective Feeney investigates internet crimes against children and is a wealth of knowledge. The students learned the importance of protecting their name, identity and reputation online. There was great discussion related to online gaming, social media and cyberbullying. Although students had a lot of knowledge about being online with various apps it was a good learning lesson in safety. Thank you, Detective Steve Feeney, for speaking to our students.
