Shannon Bain Fourth Grade Teacher

Welcome back!  I am so excited to be teaching fourth grade this year.  The last four years I have taught fifth grade at Putnam County R-1 Elementary.  For those of you who do not know me very well, I am a native of Putnam County.  I graduated in 1997 with a class size of approximately 64.  I then journeyed to the University of Missouri-Columbia to study Ag. Business.  It was there that I decided I wanted to become a teacher.  Through my journey of becoming a teacher, I studied at, what once was, CMSU in Warrensburg, MO and Graceland University.  I received my Bachelors of Arts degree and started working for the South Harrison School District in Bethany, MO.  While working at South Harrison, I had the honor of working in fifth and 6th grades for two years, fourth grade for six years, and first grade for two years.  Since then, I have completed my Masters of Education in Administration through William Woods University. I am an avid softball player and fan.  I am currently the Jr. High Softball coach and have had many experiences coaching boys and girls from third grade through 12 grade in either basketball or softball.  I have been married for 16 years to Eddie and have two children, Kelton and Kora.  Something not very many people know about me is that I love to decorate and watch my kids play ball and show cattle.  I am very blessed!  I look forward to a great year and can't wait to get to know more about each of my students.
