Forty-four Juniors and Seniors filled a bus to the bursting point as we headed to Columbia to visit the University of Missouri on Tuesday, October 17th.  Students enjoyed the opportunity to visit the recreation center, dormitories, and were given a presentation on the admissions process.  The University of Missouri is a public, land-grant research university located in Columbia, Missouri, U.S. It was founded in 1839 as the first public institution of higher education west of the Mississippi River.  Also known as Mizzou, their mascot is Truman the Tiger.  Probably the most memorable part of this trip for many will be the meal provided by Plaza 900 Dining on campus (free of charge!).  Taking advantage of these college visits in order to weigh their options is worth the time away from classes.  Seniors may also take two days to visit schools with a parent or guardian without adversely affecting their attendance.  The link below provides a listing of available scholarships and is updated throughout the year.
