Scholarships 2011-2012
1. The Wendy’s High School Heisman award honors both male and female high school students who excel in academics, athletics and student leadership. Men and women entering their senior year of high school in the 2011-2012 academic year who have at least a “B” grade average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport may apply. Go to www.wendysheisman.com to apply. Deadline is October 2, 2011.
2. The Hagan Scholarship is available at www.hsfmo.org. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and 23 or higher on ACT. Seniors must also complete the FAFSA.
3. The University of Science and Technology is offering the Chancellor’s scholarship. Applicants need at least a 3.5 GPA and 30 on the ACT. Deadline to apply is November 1, 2011. Apply at apply.mst.edu.
4. Patritto Orthodontics is offering a scholarship to seniors. Applicants must have finished orthodontic treatment wit Dr. Patritto. Deadline is March 20, 2012. See Ms. Spence for an application.
5. Discover Colleges provides a FREE private college information service as well as a $2500 private college scholarship drawing. Students can simply log onto www.DiscoverColleges.com to request information and automatically be entered in the $2500 scholarship drawing.
6. There is a scholarship available at www.coca-colascholars.org. This scholarship is awarded to seniors based on leadership, commitment to community, and academic achievement.
7. Epsilon Sigma Alpha is offering a scholarship that may be found at www.epsilonsigmaalph,org/esaf-foundation/scholarships/how-to-apply and www.eqsilonsigmaalph.org/esa-foundation/scholarships/scholarships-form. The applications must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2012.
8. There are scholarships available at www.business.missouri.edu/scholarships for students interested in business and attending Mu College of Business. Deadline to apply is February 1, 2012.
9. The Show-Me Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society is offering several scholarships at http://www.swcs.missouri.edu/. There are different deadlines for each scholarship.
10. The Missouri Sheriffs’ Association is offering a scholarship at www.mosheriffs.com. Deadline is January 31, 2012.
11. Scholarship opportunities may be found at www.axa-achievement.com. Deadlines vary.
12. The National Co-op Scholarship Program is now available at www.co-op.edu. Deadline is February 15, 2012.
13. The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans is offering a scholarship at www.horatioalger.com/scholarships. Deadline is October 30, 2011.
14. The Missouri Gaming Association is awarding scholarship through their annual Project 21 Scholarship competition. Contest application and guidelines are available at www.missouricasinos.org.
15. The University of Missouri at St. Louis is offering science, mathematics or engineering scholarships on March 15-17, 2012. Details may be found at http://www.UMSL.EDU/~SEP/.
16. There is a free scholarship search at www.fastweb.com.
17. There is a scholarship opportunity at www.kfcscholars.org. Deadline is 2/8/12.
18. Burger King is offering the BK Scholars scholarship at http://www.haveityourwayfoundation.org/bksp_scholarship_eligibility.htm.
19. The Kansas City Associated Equipment Distributors Scholarship Application is now available in Ms. Spence’s office. This scholarship is for seniors studying heavy equipment and diesel engine repair.
20. The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program annually awards roughly 20 college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with scholarships. Go to www.reaganfoundation.org/scholarships for an application. Deadline is February 17, 2012.

22. The James L. and Nellie M. Westlake Scholarship Program is providing scholarship opportunities to seniors. Go to sms.scholarshipamerica.org/westlake for an application. Deadline is February 1, 2012.
23. The United States JCI Senat Foundation awards $1000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the US who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. Go to http://www.mojcisenate.org/scholarships.html for an application. Deadline is postmarked by January 3, 2012.
24. The Dr. Darrell “Jack” Holley/MUSIC Scholarship is now available. See Ms. Spence for an application. Deadline to apply is Tuesday, December 20, 2011.
25. The Missouri Society of CPAs Educational Foundation sponsors LEAP scholarships for high school seniors so that high-achieving students have the opportunity to pursue fulfilling careers as CPAs. See Ms. Spence for more information. Deadline to apply is February 29, 2012.
26. The Foundation for Rural Service/Northeast Missouri Rural Telephone Scholarship is now available. See Ms. Spence for an application. All applications must be postmarked no later than February 16, 2012.
27. The National Defense Transportation Association is offering a scholarship program to promote careers in Business, Transportation Logistics, and Physical Distribution. See Ms. Spence for an application. All applications must be postmarked NO LATER THAN March 1, 2012.
28. The National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship is now available. See Ms. Spence for an application. Deadline to apply is January 20, 2012.
29. Scholarships are available at www.bestbuy-communityrelations.com and www.at15.com. Apply December 26, 2011-February 15, 2012.
30. The Missouri Women’s Golf Association is offering a scholarship. See Ms. Spence for an application. All applications must be received by Monday, April 2, 2012.
31. The Missouri Society of CPAs sponsors a scholarship for high school seniors so that high-achieving students have the opportunity to pursue fulfilling careers as CPAs. See Ms. Spence for an application. Deadline is February 29, 2012.
32. The Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship Application is now available in Ms. Spence’s office. Students should be planning to enroll in a full-time course of study leading to a major in a field related to banking. Applications must be postmarked by March 16, 2012.
33. BUICK ACHIEVERS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM can be found at www.buickachievers.com. Deadline to apply is February 29, 2012.
34. Lois Britt Memorial Pork Industry Scholarship Program is now available. Four $2500 scholarships will be awarded to students who intend to pursue a career in the pork industry-talented and thoughtful students who may emerge as industry leaders someday. See Ms. Spence for more info.
Deadline to apply is January 20, 2012.
35. The Missouri Insurance Education Foundation is offering (4) $1500 scholarships to be awarded to Missouri graduating high school seniors who will be full-time students in an accredited Missouri college or university and with an interest of pursuing an insurance, risk management, actuarial science or related course of study. See Ms. Spence for an application. Deadline to apply is March 31, 2012.
36. The Missouri Society of CPAs Educational Foundation sponsors LEAP scholarships for high school seniors so that high-achieving students have the opportunity to pursue fulfilling careers as Certified Public Accounts. Online applications will be accepted through February 29, 2012. Go to http://www.leap-forward.com/scholarships.html to apply.
37. National Farmers Organization is offering scholarships at http://www.nfo.org/Scholarships/Default.aspx. Deadline is March 12, 2012.
38. The PSF Scholarship is now available in Ms. Spence’s office. Students mail application directly to PSF. Deadline to apply is March 30, 2012.
39. The Missouri Corn Scholarship applications are available online at www.mocorn.org. Deadline to apply is February 10th.
