by Dana DeVore

April 18, 2008

Fourth Quarter in Social Studies World:
American History students will study the Economic Growth and Expansion in America to the present. We currently are discussing the Monroe Doctrine and the impact it had on American Expansion.

The challenge of growth is our next topic of discussion. The emphasis will be on the evolution of technology through the Industrial Revolution.

World History students will finish a brief unit on the Missouri Constitution. A test will be given at the end of the month of April. The students will then explore the rise of the monarchies in Europe.

Sociology students will be exploring socialization. We are currently discussing agents of socialization. Students will choose a fairy tale (i.e. "The Three Little Bears") and analyze how the story attributes to socialization.
