Enjoy!

The Photography Scholars Program at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art is an elite program that teaches high school students professional artistic practice through close work with museum staff and professional artists. During the program students will work to take photographs centered around a theme while creating a high quality photography portfolio. Being accepted into this program is a great honor, with a large pool of incredibly talented applicants only a small few are invited to be a part of the program. Putnam County Named 89th Annual Brashear Tournament Champs

Congratulations to the Putnam County girls and boys basketball teams for winning the championship games of the 89th Annual Brashear Tournament. Callie, Carson, Levi and Kaden were named to the All-Tournament Team. Way to go Midgets! The boys finished the tournament last Saturday night with a 85-69 win over the Novinger Wildcats. According to Coach Kyle Fleshman, "We did a great job of getting out and running the court. A lot of times (that night) it was our second or third guy coming down the court that had the open shot. We were being really unselfish with that ball." Our Class 2, District 7 boys game with Marceline is scheduled for February 19, at 8:15 pm, at Schuyler County High School in Queen City. The Lady Midgets defeated the . . .

FBLA Success Stories

Chloe and Trey have shown us they have the initiative to make entrepreneurship work, both now and in the future. Since there was not an active FBLA Chapter at Putnam this year, they took the bold step of joining up with Schuyler County.  As part of the Schuyler County chapter of Future Business Leaders of America  both competed recently with great success.  Chloe took second in two areas, Impromptu Speaking and Hospitality Management Role Playing.  Trey took first place in Website Design.  Moving on to state competition is the next step and we wish them the best of luck.
