Japanese Tea Bowls

by Tammy Dooley

March 18, 2008

6th grade Crafts Class
In our Crafts class, we just finished molding our version of Japanese tea bowls. They are now air drying and are almost ready to be bisque fired, which is the first firing method.

After we glaze the pots to make them waterproof, the students and I are going to plan our own version of a class tea ceremony. It should be fun!

While we wait for our pots to dry, we are starting our printmaking unit. We our currently exploring positive and negative space.
