PC Middle School Purchases Classroom Performance System

There is new excitement for middle school students in Mrs. Klinginsmith’s classes. PCMS has purchased a new set of classroom responders or Classroom Performance Systems (CPS). CPS allows each student to have their own responder or remote to respond to questions in the classroom. The teacher can then view the results by individual or have them graphed as a group. CPS is a great tool that will automatically let the teacher know which students are grasping the concept and which ones are not.
Students who have had the opportunity to use the new responders love them. Many students feel more involved in class discussion and are now interacting with every question asked, instead of only when they are called on. The shy, timid student can now interact without worrying if they answered incorrectly in front of the entire class.
CPS keeps students on task and ensures 100% involvement in the classroom. Our school is very fortunate to have such wonderful technology, and we can’t wait to get more systems for the other classrooms. Mrs. Hodges plans to buy a new set or two each year, depending on the schools budget.
