Area 3 FFA hosted the Area Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 22. The banquet is an annual event put on by the Area 3 FFA Association and the sponsoring school. This year the banquet was held in La Plata, Missouri in the High School Gymnasium located in La Plata. This was the second year the banquet was hosted in the gym at La Plata.

In total, nine Putnam County FFA members, two PC FFA advisors, and one parent attended the banquet. Attending members included Riley Wood, Tanner Bondy, Matthieu M, Megan T, Kyle B, Sara W, Ashlyn S, Katelyn G and Courtney G. Ten FFA members were awarded awards this night. Award winner included Riley Wood, Tanner B, Matthieu M, Justin D, Josh V, Megan T, Kyle B, Sara W., Katelyn G. and Courtney G.

Tanner B, sophomore, received two awards. One award was for placing 1^st at Area division II Prepared Public  Speaking ,  and the other for winning the Proficiency award in Agriculture Mechanics Repairs and Maintenance-Entrepreneurship.  Tanner also placed 2^nd at the state level in Public Speaking division II.

Joshua V, junior, received 1 award for Proficiency Awards. He placed 3^rd at Area in the category Agriculture Mechanics Fabrication and Design.

Riley W, senior, received one award. He placed 3^rd in the Area with Agricultural Sales-Placement proficiency award.

Katelyn G, junior, received 2 awards that night. She placed 1^st in the proficiency category Food Science and Technology. She was also awarded an Area Officer position. Katelyn will serve as the 2015-2016 Area 3 Historian.

Megan T, junior, received 1 award. She placed 1^st in Area 3 with the proficiency award category, Food Service.

Justin D, junior, also received 1 award. He placed 3^rd in the Area. He received an award in the proficiency category Forage Production.

Kyle B, junior, also received one award. She placed 3^rd in Area 3 for a proficiency award. She won her award through the category Goat Production.

Matthieu M, junior, received 1 award. He placed 2^nd in the Area in the proficiency category of Grain Production-Entrepreneurship.

Sara W, sophomore, received one award that night. She was awarded 2^nd place in the proficiency category of Sheep Production

Courtney G received one award. She placed 2^nd for her work on this year's Chapter Scrapbook.
