The Putnam County FFA Trap shooting team recently completed its season of shooting. This year’s team was selected with 14 interested members each shooting 4 rounds for score at the local range. After this was done, the scores were added up and the top 5 shooters comprised the A team and the next 5 made up the B team. This year’s team is: A team- John M, Justin S, Bradley C, Casey H, and Jeramiah S. The B Team was: Devin V, Wyatt , Justin W, Lane M, and Wade S. Alternates for the team were: Kalab S, Joe F, Max K and Lizzy H.
In preparing for the Area trap shoot, Nine members of the Putnam County squad competed in the Schuyler County FFA trap shoot at Bosco’s Gun Club in Lancaster, on Saturday, Sept 5th, 2015. At this event Justin S and Lane M were the teams top shooters, both shooting a 47 our of 50. The next competition was on Saturday, Sept. 12th, where 8 team members shot in the Macon FFA trap shoot.
On Tuesday, Sept 22nd the Putnam County team shot in the annual Area FFA Trap shoot at the 63 Gun Club in Macon, Missouri. The Putnam team shot a 104 out of 125 and placed 14th out of 20 schools.. The top shooter for the Putnam County Team was Justin S who shot a 23 out of 25.
