Varsity players greeted Elementary students before school, urging them come out to see them play.

The boy's basketball team just finished their first week of basketball practice. The team has been getting in the gym this offseason and tracking their progress. Starting on October 1st, players were challenged to make 2,000 shots before their first game. If players wanted to be a 3 point shooter they have the added challenge of making 14 out of 21 shots (11 out of 21 for JV), 2 out of 3 times. So all the boys have been working hard in the gym trying to improve their shooting ability. Three players have currently gained their 3 point shooting license. The first player to achieve this honor was Kelton B. He has currently made over 3000 3's since October 1st. Mathew S. and Jayden S. have also been able to make 14 out of 21 shots and been working hard after school to become a better shooter. A few other players have gotten very close this week and I expect to see some more athletes achieve their 3 point license this next week.
