Annual Speech, Language, & Hearing Underway
Can they hear or are they just not listening to me? This is a common question in the minds of a lot of parents and caregivers. Rest assured, we are trying to help you answer that question.
Speech, language, and hearing screenings are now underway. Mrs. Knight, Speech-Language Pathologist, and Ms. Wickert, Speech-Language Pathologist are screening elementary students in grades Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades for concerns in hearing, speech, and language.
We may also be re-screening preschool students for any concerns previously noted to see if further action should be taken. If there are concerns in any of these areas, you will receive a phone call or a letter sent home with your student.
If you have any questions or have concerns in any of these areas for your student, please feel free to call Mrs. Knight at extension 391 or Ms. Wickert at extension 333. Also, throughout the year, please let us know if concerns arise. Have a great holiday weekend!
