What supplies should I have at home to help my young child with reading?

• Books, books, and books are the best things you can give a youngster who is learning to read.  Fortunately, they are available for loan at our public library, as well as, our school library.  Books can also be found at garage sales, used book stores, and the Bargain Barn.  Family and friends might be willing to pass on books that they have outgrown.  Your child's teacher may also send home book orders that offer books at a discounted rate.  Whatever method you use, the overall idea is to have easy access to books for your child's reading pleasure.
