Mrs. Watt Wins $500 for Our Library
Congratulations to our very own Haley Watt for winning $500 from Scholastic Books to use in the library and her classroom! Mrs. Watt is the Librarian for the High School and Middle School Libraries, as well as the Social Media Specialist and Webmaster for Putnam County R-I Schools. She instructs multiple language classes that include Spanish, French, and English as a Second Language.
Mrs. Watt does a fantastic job of assisting students, as well as teachers in the library to find the perfect book to enhance their love of reading. Through her work and dedication as a Librarian and Foreign Language instructor, Mrs. Watt has created a more interactive learning environment for her language students and has organized the library in a way that supports higher book circulation that ensures that every student has a book in their hands.
Scholastic and noted author, James Patterson, teamed up to get books into the hands of many children as possible and this is the fourth year the team has paired up to bring books into the classroom. Mrs. Watt entered the contest and recently won $500 for our school library and her classroom. Congratulations Mrs. Watt!
Mrs. Watt is married to Jeremy Watt, and together they have 4 boys: Gus, Angstrom, Jude, and Boaz. When Mrs. Watt is away from the library and language lab she enjoys outdoor adventures with family, reading a good book or listening to one while traveling, vacationing to new places, visiting with friends and family, learning new things, sipping a cup of coffee over with conversation, singing at church, coaching JV cheerleaders, and cheering for students at Putnam County events.
