Welcome Back Mr. Hicks!
Please give a warm welcome back to Mr. Britten Hicks. This is Britten's second year on staff at Putnam County R-I Schools. Last year Mr. Hicks served as a paraprofessional in all three schools and this is his first year as the Middle School/High School Library Assistant.
Mr. Hicks graduated from Putnam County in 2009. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History in 2014 from Truman State University. Britten will be assisting with the Varsity Scholar Bowl and will be creating the Middle School yearbook in collaboration with Middle School students. He is also the Chess Club sponsor and tutors homebound students. You can often find Mr. Hicks behind a camera lens, troubleshooting technical issues, co-hosting Middle School Read and Feeds, and updating student book wishlists to name a few.
In his free time, you can catch Mr. Hicks reading 📖on the porch with his two dogs Balto and Foo-Foo, going to the movies, or hanging out with his nephews and niece. He also enjoys volunteering his time putting together Christmas boxes each year for Operation Christmas Child in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
