Individuals interested in High School Cheerleading need to see Mrs. Stobbe by TODAY. I am available before/after school or during the last 10 minutes of Activity Period. I want to chat about the requirements for tryouts and cover any of your questions or concerns. There will be sideline and competition opportunities again this year to be involved in.


Starting April 8th Chess Club will be holding a Chess Tournament after school till 5 PM. Sign up with Mr. Hicks in the library. The last day to sign up is April 5th. The first prize winner will receive a Kindle Fire HD 8.


Chess Club will start meeting again on Monday afternoons till 5 beginning on April 8th.


Interact Shoes For Orphan Souls Project (April 2-19):

  • Students & teachers - vote with your money at lunch to see which teacher has to do the crazy thing listed below.

  • Cans will be available at lunch to collect money (MS/HS)

  • If you collect $100 in a can, then that teacher will do it no matter what.


STANDINGS: Coach Fleshman $  3.51

  • If anyone does not have $100 in their can, then the one with the most money in the remaining cans does it.

    • Coach Lindhoff - (shave eyebrows OR make-up for a day) - TBD

    • Coach Fleshman - (mohawk for at least 1 week)

    • Coach Klingner - (reverse mohawk for at least 1 week)

    • Coach Watt - (wax legs)

    • Coach Smith - (wax armpits)

  • Assembly scheduled Thursday, April 18 to carry out “fun” stuff!

  • Also: Competition between 4th period classes for who can bring the most shoes and socks (3 pairs socks = 1 pair of shoes)

  • Reward for the winning class on April 19 during 4th period. Interact members will help box shoes.  Date: Wednesday, April 24 in Mr. Watt’s room during activity period.  The shoe caravan is coming through town on 4/26 over the noon hour.

Forms are available from Mr. Watt or outside the office.  The cost is $14.00 each! Send money to Mr. Watt, Whitney R. or Jacob E.


If you are interested in applying for a DECA Officer position for the 2019-2020 school year, please stop by Mrs. Fitz's room to pick up your application.  Applications are due back by Friday, April 19th. For more information, see Mrs. Fitzpatrick.


Anyone interested in being an FBLA officer next year please sign up on the sheet outside of Mrs. Schoonover's room.  Last day to sign is April 26.



Senior Video Quote Papers  are due to Ms. Hines ASAP.  Don't forget to get you baby-senior photos in too!!!


Mark your calendar for  “Evening with the Arts”, April 13th, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for students. Reserved table tickets are available for additional cost.  Call the HS office if you need additional information.


A+ Participation Agreement forms need to be signed and returned to Mrs. Rhodes ASAP.  If you need a new copy (or just want to verify if you already have one on file) please see Mrs. Rhodes in the Superintendent’s Office.


Affinity Bridal in Indianola, Iowa wants you to have a great Prom and After-Prom!  They will give you:

  • $75 off a purchased prom dress

  • $40 off tuxedo rentals (includes free shoe usage)

  • $25 donation to After Prom for every dress purchased by PC students

  • $15 donation to After Prom for every tuxedo rental by PC students


Prom Tickets - Purchase by April 19th

Everyone must purchase a ticket to attend Prom.  

$5.00 per person/$10.00 per couple

Tickets ensure your reservation to attend Putnam County Prom 2019

AND a special souvenir! Pay Ms.Hines before or after school,

do not interrupt classes!


Promenade forms are now available in the HS office!  


Prom is April 27th and you may now sign up your dates at the HS office.  Dates must be signed up by Friday, April 19th. You only need to sign up your date if they are NOT currently a PC High School student.  Drop-out students and anyone over 20 are not permitted to attend. Please don’t forget that your lunch balance and fines and fees must be under $50 in order to attend.  Promenade will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the dance will follow. Once you leave the dance you may not return.


After-Prom will go from 11:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.  Juniors and Seniors don’t need to go to prom to attend.  


Looking for a place to eat before Prom?  The Marina Bay Restaurant at Lake Thunderhead will be serving a Prom Special from 3-7 pm.  Your choice of New York Strip or Chicken Breast/ Baked Potato/ Side Salad/ Texas Toast/ Cheesecake and drink for 2/$30.00.
