Putnam County R-I Schools is excited to launch a new service for parents that will enhance communication by delivering important information, such as delayed school openings or emergency closings due to weather, via SMS text messaging. This service is intended to enhance our existing means of communication and will not replace any existing form of communication.
To participate in the new service you must register your mobile phone number. Registration is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete.
To Register: Text the word YES to 67587 Successful subscribers will receive a confirmation message on their mobile phone. Your mobile phone number must be on file at your child’s school.
To Unregister: Text STOP to 67587.
For Help: Text HELP to 67587
While Putnam County R-I Schools does not charge a fee for this service, standard text and data charges may apply through your service provider. PCR-I is not responsible for any charges from a person's service provider that may result from the provision of this service. Please check with your individual carrier regarding any charges which may apply. In addition to registering your mobile phone as indicated above, please be sure that Putnam County R-I Schools has your wireless number, home phone, and work number in our student information database. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child's school.
