Putting the Art in STEAM
The high school/middle school art room has a variety of new activities for students to explore this year. The new "Brain Break" area contains activities that align with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, an Math (STEAM). These activities provide a creative break for students working on a long or difficult project and offer engaging activities for early finishers. Today the 6th grade Art students were able to work as a team using K'Nex to create moving sculptures. Students used a hands-on approach to learning that taught important 21st-century skills such as creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication.
