Housing Students Apply Elements of Design
After learning about the elements of design, students applied the elements of space, line, and form while rearranging desks and furniture in Mrs. Fitzpatrick’s classroom. Students experienced frustration dealing with limited space and large pieces of furniture. They had to apply problem solving techniques to meet the client’s (Mrs.Fitzpatrick) needs and wants as well teamwork to ensure everyone’s ideas were heard/seen.
After a lot of moving, the class finally decided on a layout that suited the client’s requests as well as their desires as students.
