A Professor at Putnam County Elementary
Professor John Francis from Hannibal-LaGrange University visited our first and third grade students during music. These two grade levels are learning about instrument families and instruments. Third grade has even been making their own instruments! So, Mrs. Waugh brought in one of her music teachers from college to demonstrate trumpet and give an interactive lesson on the history of trumpets. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions and learn so much from Dr. Francis! It was a wonderful opportunity to listen to some wonderful trumpet playing and to also learn about being a musician as students grow up!
