Dr. Halley School Closure Updates March 17, 2020: YouTube Podcast

Good afternoon, PCR-I! Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!
Our superintendent, administration, directors and support staff have been hard at work behind the scenes to do our part to make nutrition available, provide opportunities for internet access, continue cleaning and disinfecting of our facilities, and communicate with our teachers on how they can utilize time and resources to keep advancing the education of our students.

Nutrition Services:
Putnam County R-I Schools have developed a plan to provide sack lunches and breakfasts for children in the PCR-I school district. Meals are available to any child in Putnam County ages 18 and under, regardless of socioeconomic circumstance. Sack lunches will contain 2 days worth of breakfast and lunch items. Our plan is to have multiple locations where these sack lunches and breakfast items can be picked up on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 - 6:00 PM. Food will be distributed at the following locations:
Putnam County R-I Schools (outside the High School kitchen)
Midway Baptist Church Parking Lot ( to serve the west side of the county)
Lake Thunderhead Office Parking Lot (to serve the north side of the county)
Livonia City Park (to serve the east side of the county)

We have had around 100 students ask to participate.

If you would like your child(ren) to participate, please call 660-947-3361.

PCR-I Internet Cafe:
Mr. Schnakenberg has set up access points so students can be near the high school commons parking lot and get internet access so they can keep up with their education. Keep in mind to practice social distancing. The Wi-Fi will be labeled Parking Lot if it does not automatically connect.

Maintenance:
Our maintenance crew has been working to deep clean and disinfect. We also have an exterminator coming to school on Friday.

Teachers:
Our teachers are using this time to work on curriculum, be available to students by email and set up virtual conference hours to answer any questions for their students.

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will keep you posted with any updated information. Thank you for your understanding and support.
