Elementary Special Education: Mrs. Josie Hinkle
Welcome to PCR-I!
Hello! My name is Josie Hinkle and I am the new Elementary Special Education Teacher. While I am new as an employee to Putnam County R-I, I am not new to the district or county! I have lived here my whole life and graduated from Putnam in 2015. In December 2016, I received my AAT degree from North Central Missouri College and then graduated from Central Methodist University in December 2018 with my bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education. I am coming from Newtown-Harris R-III where I previously worked as a para for one year and then as the Elementary Special Education teacher for the past two years.
In 2017, I married my high school sweetheart, Joel, who is a 2012 graduate of Putnam County. In January of this year, we welcomed our first baby boy, Trik, into the world. While I love my job and my school kids, being a wife and a mama are my two best accomplishments that make my heart whole!

Small Fun Fact - If my name sounds familiar or I look familiar, my mom, Jana Young, used to be a teacher here at Putnam for many years. Many people have realized who I am after this piece of information.
