Force and Motion
Mrs. Jones’s 2nd graders have been learning about force and motion. They’ve learned about different types of forces such pushes, pulls. gravity, and friction.
The last two days they have spent time building puff cars and taking them outside to see if they would work. Before taking their cars out, students made predictions about if they thought their car would take a little or a lot of force to make it move. They tried their cars on smooth surfaces and rough surfaces. Check out our photo gallery to see our hypotheses in action.
