Three Lady Midgets Earn Postseason Honors
Three Lady Midget softball players earned several postseason honors after the completion of the 2020 season. Senior catcher Carsen S. earned her 4th consecutive selection on the GRC All-Conference team by being named to the 1st Team unanimously by the coaches. She was joined by junior pitcher Claire T. as a unanimous 1st Team selection (3rd selection). Junior utility player Samantha D. rounded out the All-Conference selections by being selected to the 2nd Team (1st selection).
Carsen, Claire and Sam were also named to the Class 2, District 6 All-District team. Carsen was selected to the 1st team as a catcher (4th selection), Claire was selected to the 1st team as a pitcher (3rd selection overall, 1st as a pitcher) and Sam was selected to the 1st team as an outfielder (1st selection). All three girls then moved on to the All-Region meeting where they were selected as All-Region players. Carsen was named a 2nd Team catcher (3rd selection), Sam was named a 2nd Team outfielder (1st selection) and Claire was named a 1st Team Pitcher (3rd selection overall, 1st as a pitcher.)
