Do You Hear What I Hear? Sounds of the Season Winter Concert Rescheduled to January 23, 2021.

Do you hear what I hear? It's the Sounds of the Season, coming soon! Our Middle and High School Bands and Choirs have been practicing their pieces and are so excited to share them with you. Our original date for this was Thursday, December 17, 2020, but has been rescheduled for January 23, 2021. The concert will be held in the Putnam County High School gymnasium, beginning at 6:00 pm.
Our students would be overjoyed to see you at their performance and their musical selections are sure to put you in the holiday spirit!

Q: What are we playing?

A: Choir will perform A Joyful Night and Christmas Time is Here

A: 6th-Grade Band will play Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas

A: Junior High Band will play Aura Lea and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

A: High School Band will play Salvation is Created and The Christmas Song

A: Jazz Band will play Uncle Milos’ Sideshow and My Dinner With Ronald

Mrs. Booth has requested that all of our students performing wear their best concert black clothing. Arrival times to prepare for the concert are listed below:
High School Band: arrive by 5:00 pm.
Junior High Band: arrive by 5:15 pm.
6th-Grade Band: arrive by 5:30 pm.
Choirs: arrive by 5:45 pm.

We hope to see you all on Thursday evening to celebrate the sounds of the season! All performances will take place on the stage in the high school gym to allow for more physical distancing for our audience. Masks are encouraged but not required. Please, if you are unwell, stay home. If you are experiencing any symptoms or have a fever, stay home. 

If you are unable to watch the performance in person, it will be recorded and you can catch the replay on our YouTube channel. 

Band and Choir students: This is your final performance of the semester and is worth a large portion of your grade. For questions about our attendance policy, please review your Syllabus which is posted on our website. https://sites.google.com/putnamcountyr1.net/band To receive FULL POINTS for this performance you must:

● Arrive on time or early and have all needed materials ready (music/instrument/etc.)

● Wear Concert Black Attire.

● Be a well-behaved audience member when other groups are performing.

● Stay until your after-concert duty is complete. Any point deductions will be directly related to the expectations listed above.
