FAB 5 Friday - Jumping Frog Contest
Mrs. O's FAB 5 are celebrating the LAST quarter of fifth grade with FAB 5 FRIDAYS. This past week, students read an adaptation of Mark Twain's "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County". Although a "live" jumping frog contest would have been FABULOUS, students practiced following directions while making an origami jumping frog. (Each student is pictured with his/her frog in the first photo gallery.) Next, the students participated in jumping frog contests. Rayden C. is our overall frog jumping champion. (Rayden and his frog are pictured in the second photo gallery.) After competing in the class frog jumping contest, students challenged each other to more jumping contests and other board games. (These pictures are included in the third photo gallery.)
