2nd Grade Learns about Simple Machines
Students in second grade have been learning about simple machines in our Force and Motion unit. Today we learned that a wheel and axle are simple machines too. We made model cars with straws, Lifesavers, paper, and tape. Once our cars were built, the students were very eager to try to race them. We took them outside to the basketball court and raced! It takes a lot of wind to move the paper cars! They did an excellent job crafting them, and had a lot of fun learning! Great job 2nd grade!
