Skeletons, Verbs, and Q-Tips: Hands-on learning and literary fun in first grade!

In first grade, we have been learning all about verbs! We incorporated a fun skeleton craft into our writing one day. The students' assignment was to create a skeleton out of Q-tips. After creating their skeleton, students were given the task of naming their skeleton. Then they described one activity that their skeleton liked to do. The students were able to come up with several creative verbs!
