Character Education Week is January 24-28, 2022. Start thinking of ways you could pay it forward this year. Below you will find the specific days and donation items during Character Education Week. Thank you in advance for helping those in need.
Monday-Be a Buddy! Support the Buddy Pack Program that provides food for students. Weekly food packs are sent home on Fridays. Every $10.00 donated will provide $210.00 worth of food for the program. If you would like to support the Buddy Pack Program please send any amount.
Tuesday: FOOD FOR THOUGHT DAY We are also grateful for our community. Please bring in your non-perishable food items, along with toilet paper and Kleenex to help those in need in our own community. (Please no outdated or open items) All items will remain in our county at the local food pantry.
Wednesday: CITIZENSHIP DAY We show good CITIZENSHIP by taking care of our elderly friends and family. We will collect donations for BINGO prizes for our friends at the Putnam County Care Center. Prizes that residents enjoy are individually wrapped candy or snacks and small knick-knacks that are new.
Thursday: RESPONSIBILITY DAY We will help support our local meals-on-wheels program through the PC Cafe’ & Resource Center. Items to donate to the center are dish soap, paper towels, and napkins.
Friday: CARING DAY We are going to support our local Children’s Division and children in alternative care. Please donate new adult clothing items for older children in foster care. The Children’s Division has requested (size Small-Large) NEW socks, underwear, and tennis shoes. We will be collecting donations to celebrate Character Education Week.
