Celebrating Reading Successes
Today, Mrs. Jones' second graders celebrated their reading successes with a "Glow In The Dark Tent" reading party. Each students desk was transformed into their own personal tent, where they had blankets, pillows, books, glow necklaces, glow bracelets, and colored finger flashlights. Students enjoyed relaxing in their "tents" and reading!
Mrs. Jones' Students have also been learning about Milton Hershey this week in Science as their famous famous inventor. What perfect timing to have Hershey's chocolate bars turned into S'mores for a snack when you are having "tent party!"
We wrapped up the celebration with each student receiving a pop for raising their STAR Reading score by a year or more!
I couldn't be more proud of all the hard work and dedication each student has given to become better readers this year!
