We asked Mr. Waugh about his journey to education. This is what he had to say: "I long was interested in being a band director in high school after being drum major for 2 years, but decided to follow my strengths in math and science in high school. I attended HLGU for a nursing degree for a year and a half before realizing I needed to pursue a passion that I would enjoy every day and that was teaching music, specifically band/choir. Ever since that decision my career just made sense.

I look forward to playing my part in the lives of as many Putnam County students as possible to grow into young adults with the riches of new friendships, life lessons, and experiences that band/choir can bring them."

Fun fact: Mr. Waugh is a BIG Star Wars and sports fan, specifically of football! 🏈

His fandoms for the following teams:

🏈NFL-Colts

πŸ–€πŸ’›NCAA-MIZZOU

⚾️MLB-Cardinals

πŸ’NHL-Blues

πŸ€NBA-Bulls
