PCR-I Welcomes Home, Mrs. Shaleigh Lewis!

🥳Help us give another big welcome home to Mrs. Shaleigh Lewis!
Shaleigh is an elementary teacher and will be joining us in the 2023-2024 school year.
👩🎓Mrs. Lewis tells us:
"I graduated from PCR-I in 2011. I had originally graduated high school thinking I’d like to earn a degree in nursing but that quickly changed. I always had a passion for education and working with children. I knew deep down I was meant to be a teacher. I spent a year at Missouri Western State University and then decided to head back closer to home and earn my Associate of Arts Degree through NCMC in 2013. I went on to graduate with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with a reading endorsement from Graceland University in 2015.
🤰My husband, Tyler, and I live in Unionville. We will be welcoming our first child, a baby girl, due to arrive in April.👶
👩🏫I have spent the past 8 years teaching at Milan. This upcoming school year will be my 9th year teaching elementary education and my first year at PCR-I as a teacher.
💙In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, shopping, getting pedicures, and spending time outdoors with Tyler which usually consists of hunting or fishing. I should also probably add that I’m a huge Dallas Cowboys fan! Anyone that knew my Dad knows he was also a huge fan and wouldn’t have allowed it any other way so spending time watching football games as a family has always been one of my favorite things to do as well.
🤍I have a lot of wonderful changes taking place this year and I know that the best journeys always bring us home. I’m so excited about the opportunity to teach at PCR-I and to be coming back home!"
