Help us give a warm welcome to Mr. James Carleton!
Mr. James is a familiar face to PCR-I, as he served as a bus driver and a paraprofessional in the elementary last school year. This year, James is switching things up a bit. He will still be driving a bus, but will also be assisting Mrs. Watt in the high school library for the first 4 hours of the day, in addition to supervising lunch shifts for middle and high school and instructing students in high school with Rosetta Stone Spanish and helping with homework the last 3 hours of each school day.
Mr. Carleton graduated from high school in Macon, Missouri, then attended Moberly Area Community College and Northwest Missouri State University. James is married to Amanda (Welder) Carleton, and they have 3 young children and a dog.
We asked James about his journey into a career in education. He told us, "I did not originally plan on being in education. I started working as a bus driver and para at Putnam and decided I really enjoyed helping students learn and grow."
When James is not at school, he enjoys golfing, gaming, spending time at the beach at Lake Thunderhead, and enjoying time with his family.
Fun fact: "I really enjoy history and reading!"
