Tryouts for the 2013-2014 Putnam County Cheerleading teams were held the week of March 11th – 14st. Approximately 24 girls tried out for the 11 Varsity and 10 Junior Varsity positions. The girls practiced throughout the week to perfect a group cheer, a sideline dance, jumps, and various tumbling elements. The following individuals will be a part of Putnam County Cheerleading for the upcoming competitive and sideline seasons.

Practice for the members on the varsity squad will begin in April in preparation to compete in the Regional Missouri Cheerleading Competition in July. Coming off a 2nd place state finish last season, the new team is anxious to prove themselves again this year. There will be two JV alternates that will chosen to practice and develop with the varsity squad throughout the year. The future is bright for Putnam County Cheerleading and we look forward to the successes of the upcoming season. Congratulations to the new PC cheer squads!
