I hope that everyone had an enjoyable first quarter here at Putnam County!
As the first quarter ends, our 2013 marching season comes to a close as well. During the first semester, the marching band performed at every home football game, the Putnam County Fair, and the homecoming parade. We also competed and placed First at Pancake day along side the middle school marching band, Hannibal days, the Clark County Parade of Champions , and Trenton Missouri Days. We ended our competition season at Trenton where we were awarded 3rd place in parade and 3rd place in indoor colorguard.
While the high school and middle school band finishes a successful marching season, the fifth graders are just beginning. This year, we have 32 fifth graders starting beginning band who are showing promise as musicians.
