As we almost reach the end of the first semester at school I find myself as an educator constantly looking for ways to improve student motivation and work ethic. I believe in order for a student to want to learn the material and try they must have a sense of purpose and accomplishment that can be achieved from the content. Often times I see students give up because they don’t understand a concept and because course work builds upon each other they keep falling further behind. As a teacher I believe it’s important to find the time to get the student on track as quickly as possible, but the student has to be an equal partner. When it comes down to it teachers, parents, and students all want success from their school experience.
