Starrett Selected Star in Area FFA Agribusiness Ashley Starrett of the Putnam County FFA chapter was selected the Star Area III in Agribusiness at the State FFA Degree selection screening on January 29th, 2014. The award is chosen from FFA members that have entrepreneurship agribusiness types of SAE programs (Supervised Agricultural Experience) and who are applying for the State FFA Degree. Student’s submit an application and their record books for review by the Area III FFA agricultural instructors. After the review process the area teachers vote on the different star area candidates. After this year’s selection process Ashley was chosen as the Star winner for the Agribusiness category for the 2014 school year. Ashley will now be in consideration for the Star State in Agribusiness and will be interviewed at the State FFA Convention in April. She will be recognized with a plaque at both the State FFA Convention and the Area III FFA Banquet. Her FFA Advisors are Randy Morris and Clyde Bondy.
