As the alarm goes off for the third time this morning I realize that I am not on summer break anymore. I believe that I am like many students and have not got into the routine of things quite yet. The new sixth grade students are figuring out their schedules and are arriving to classes on time. The seventh grade students are well aware of the requirements of middle school and are off to a great start. The eight grade students are so used to the middle school that I believe they have their eyes on the prize: moving to the high school. Oh how things change so quickly around here.
I would like to welcome everyone back to school! The beginning of a new school year can be so much fun if everyone involved has a positive attitude. I look forward to getting to know the sixth grade students better and enjoy the idea of seeing many of the same students I had last year in my seventh grade reading classes. Let the learning begin!
