JH Basketball Wraps Up Soon!

Junior High Basketball is heading into the home stretch!
If you haven’t had a chance to cheer on our hardworking student-athletes, now’s the time to make it happen.
Our teams hit the court at the Schuyler County 8th Grade Tournament on December 13, 15, and 17, then return home for their final games on Thursday, December 18.
These kids have put in the hours, grown their skills, and shown so much heart this season. Let’s pack the stands and finish strong.

Schuyler 8th Grade Basketball Tournament (Girls) Putnam County 8th Grade Girls – Tournament Schedule Explained Based on the bracket, here’s when our girls will definitely play and when additional games are possible depending on wins/losses. ✅ Games We Will Definitely Play These are guaranteed: • Saturday, December 13 – 1:00 PM 📍 MS Gym Putnam vs. Schuyler • Monday, December 15 – 7:30 PM 📍 MS Gym This is the second-round game. We play either Clark or Westran depending on results earlier in the day. 🏀 Possible Games (Depending on Outcomes) From here, the path splits depending on whether we win or lose on December 15. If we win on December 15: We move into the Championship bracket. • Wednesday, December 17 – 7:30 PM 📍 HS Gym Championship Game If we lose on December 15: We move into the Consolation bracket. • Wednesday, December 17 – 6:30 PM 📍 MS Gym Consolation Game 🥉 Third Place Game? The girls’ bracket shows a third-place slot, but Putnam cannot fall into that game based on our side of the bracket. So, our possible Wednesday games are either: 6:30 PM Consolation, or 7:30 PM Championship No third-place option for us. Schuyler 8th Grade Basketball Tournament (Boys Putnam County 8th Grade Boys – Tournament Schedule Explained Based on the bracket, here’s when our boys will definitely play, followed by the possible game paths depending on results. ✅ Games We Will Definitely Play • Saturday, December 13 – 11:00 AM 📍 HS Gym Putnam vs. Salisbury • Monday, December 15 – 4:30 PM 📍 MS Gym This game is guaranteed. We will play either Kirksville or Knox, depending on their 1:00 PM result. 🏀 Possible Games (Depending on Outcomes) After December 15, the bracket splits based on whether we win or lose. If we win on December 15: We advance into the Championship bracket. • Wednesday, December 17 – 6:30 PM 📍 HS Gym Championship Game If we lose on December 15: We move into the Consolation bracket. • Wednesday, December 17 – 5:30 PM 📍 MS Gym Consolation Game 🥉 Third Place Eligibility The boys can fall into the Third Place game, but only if: They win their first game on Dec 13, Lose the second game on Dec 15, And land on the side of the bracket feeding into the 3rd-place slot.
