Meet Our Superintendent

Mrs. Jonnie Beavers

Mrs. Jonnie Beavers began her role as Superintendent of Putnam County R-I Schools on July 1, 2025, bringing with her two decades of dedication to Missouri public education and a passion for rural school communities.

A proud native of Northern Missouri, Mrs. Beavers holds a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, both from William Woods University. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a reading endorsement and K-12 Art Certification from Graceland University.

Over the past 20 years, Mrs. Beavers has worn many hats in education—spending 14 years in the classroom and 6 years serving as a Superintendent in another rural Missouri district. Her leadership background also includes experience as a Federal Programs Director, Special Education Director, Transportation Director, and Elementary Principal. This wide-ranging experience gives her a well-rounded, practical understanding of the needs of students, staff, and families alike.

Mrs. Beavers and her husband, Keith, live on their family farm in Northern Missouri and are proud parents to two sons: Tate (17) and Grady (14).

When asked about her new role, she shared,

"I am thrilled and honored to serve as the Superintendent at Putnam County R-I. I look forward to being part of the Putnam County R-I family and continuing in their successes and traditions to achieve great things together."

Her vision for Putnam County centers on student success, staff support, community connection, and a shared commitment to excellence.

We’re #PutnamProud to welcome Mrs. Beavers to the team!
