Show some love for this smiling Senior Spotlight, Miss Emily Wheeler!

Emily is the daughter of Charles Wheeler and Bobby Wheeler and Sarah Smeathers and Rodney Weir.

Emily's favorite quote is: “Live life simply, give don’t take, always help someone you never know what they are going through.”

If Emily were to inspire incoming freshmen, she would tell them to "never give up on yourself."

Emily is full of laughter and smiles. When we asked her about her funniest memory at PCR-I, she told us, "playing baseball behind the art room with a ball of tape and a broomstick... Zach Heidenwith and Jaydon Pribyl were both running at full speed towards each other and just about knocked each other out when they collided because they weren’t paying attention to anything but the ball of tape. Neither one of them caught it either."

After graduation, Emily plans to go to Ozark Technical College in Lebanon, Missouri to earn her degree in nursing. In 5-10 years Emily says she sees herself, "Living life to the fullest, working my butt off to earn the things I want in life because nothing is free and I believe hard work will get you anywhere in life."

Emily's favorite class at PCHS was any of Mrs. Dickerson's classes. Emily tells us, "Because it’s Mrs. Dickerson!. She is amazing, outgoing and one of the funniest teachers ever! She always made the classes fun. You never had enough time in her class because each class went by so quickly."

The most memorable moment for Emily was: "My sophomore year lifting weights in Mr. Mayer's class. I remember It was max out on weights day and I was going all out. I got up there to do my max on squats and I just kept going up like it was nothing. I got 255 and I remember telling Mr. Mayer that I could get more let me go again." He just kept telling me, "you’ve already increased almost 100 pounds, so just wait until the next max day" "I remember getting mad at him for it because I knew for a fact I could get more, but I still think it’s because he didn’t want me showing up half the guys in his class so he made me stay at what I was! Mr. Mayer is a really good coach and friendly. I appreciate all the times he did push me to be my best! Thank you, Mr. Mayer!"

Congratulations, Emily! We wish you much success and know you whatever you set your mind to do, with hard work, you will accomplish it!
