All substitute teachers and paraprofessionals are invited to attend our annual Substitute Training Day on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This is a paid training day for substitutes.

This training provides important information, updates, and resources to help you feel prepared and confident in the classroom. Additional details and schedules will be mailed in early August, but we encourage all current and prospective substitutes to mark their calendars now.

Interested in becoming a substitute?

Apply as soon as possible so we can begin the approval process and help ensure you have plenty of time to complete background checks, fingerprinting, and substitute certification requirements, if needed. New applicants who apply early can be considered at the July Board of Education meeting.
