Welcome Back to the Library!
August 11, 2017
During the break I painted a mural for the elementary library. Do you think the little ones will like it?
Coast of Northern Ireland; quite a change from Putnam County!
Loving the architecture in Ireland.
New Grange . . . supposed to be older than the pyramids.
The Mad Prince, one of my favorite bits of stained glass in the Dublin Art Gallery.
Back at it at school. Spray painting (outdoors with proper safety equipment).
Christ Church from as high as high could stand to climb.

It's great to see everyone after summer break and welcome to all the new students as well. Reading has been a big part of my summer including rereading Ulysses by James Joyce. In Dublin, Ireland, James Joyce is celebrated as we do Mark Twain in Missouri. I had the opportunity to be there during "Bloom's Day", a festival that would parallel Tom Sawyer Days. Visiting the Trinity College Library was another highlight of my break. It will be interesting to hear everyone's stories about their time away from school and to get back to the important work of learning. Reading is my passion and I believe there's a type of book out there for everyone; it's my job to help you find it!
Ms. Haley Crellin will be helping out in the library this year and teaching Spanish in the computer lab using Rosetta Stone. We are both here to help students find the right book, improve their reading and research skills and offer any needed tech assistance.
