Things are rolling along in our classroom this year.

First, we are enjoying the picture book read alouds during Reading Workshop.  Some of our favorite titles have been That Book Woman and Henry's Freedom Box.  We LOVE reading "good fit" books during Read to Self time.  In Writer's Workshop, we are writing EVERY day.  We like to share our stories with each other.

In math, we are learning different strategies to solve multiplication problems.  We have learned how to use equal groups, repeated addition, skip counting, and number lines so far  In addition we will use arrays and area models to solve multiplication problems.

We just completed our matter unit in Science.  We learned about the three states of matter and physical and chemical changes.  We are now working on Missouri land regions during Social Studies class.

Finally, we continue to develop a Growth Mindset as we learn to embrace challenges and work hard to meet our personal goals.

Yes, we are on a roll, and we do not intend to stop now.
