FFA Members Attend Area Banquet

Whitney's installation as Area III FFA President.

 

The Area 3 FFA association  hosted the Area Awards Banquet on Tuesday, April 24th 2018.  The banquet is an annual event put on by the Area III FFA Association and the sponsoring school. This year the banquet was held in La Plata, Missouri in the High School Gymnasium located in La Plata.

In total, six Putnam County FFA members, two PC FFA advisors, and two parents attended the banquet. Attending members included:  Tony B., Emily D., Whitney R., Amy M., Jessica V., and Faith S..

Students recognized at the banquet included:

Tony b., sophomore, received 3 awards. Those awards were for placing 1st at Area division II Prepared Public  Speaking; placing 1st in the Area for the Missouri Pork Producers fall speaking contest, and for placing 2nd in the  Proficiency award area of Agriculture Mechanics Repairs and Maintenance-Entrepreneurship.

Jessica V., senior, was recognized for placing 1st in the Area in Swine Production Placement proficiency award.

Emily D., freshman, was recognized for placing 2nd in the Area for FFA Creed Speaking.

Faith S, Emily D, Carson D and Aaron P. were recognized for placing 7th in the Area III FFA Knowledge contest and qualifying for district.

Whitney R., junior, was recognized for placing 2nd in the Agricultural Education Proficiency award area, and for placing 2nd in the Missouri Teach Ag fall public speaking contest.

Joel S., senior, was recognized for placing 2nd in the Agricultural Service Proficiency award area and for placing 2nd in the Beef Production Placement Proficiency award area.

Amy M., senior, was recognized for placing 2nd in the Goat Production Proficiency award area.

The evening concluded with our very  own Whitney R. being installed as the new 2018-19 Area III FFA President. Rouse will lead the new team of ten officers as they plan and organize all area activities for next year.  Putnam County FFA is very proud of all the winners from the chapter and wishes everyone the best of luck next year.
