3rd Grade Understands- Reading Leads to Achieving

Mr. Robinson is very pleased to have the opportunity to work with some of the 3rd-grade class' top readers. Every morning students meet in Mr. Robinson's room to hone in on their reading skills for 30 minutes each day. Students are asked to do many different tasks to help benefit each student in their journey as a reader. On Monday's and Thursday's, students have the opportunity to work on Moby Max in the areas of vocabulary and reading stories. Tuesday's and Wednesday's students are asked to read passages and answer questions in preparation for state Map-Testing. Students are also taught test-taking skills and strategies to help benefit test scores. On Friday's, students have the opportunity to pick out an AR book of their choice and read at their leisure. Every Friday, Mr. Robinson likes to challenge his readers with a "Riddle of the Day." Riddles vary in difficulty from week to week, but it provides a fun time for students to think creatively to try and solve the riddle. Student's that turn in a correct answer to the "Riddle of the Day" are provided with candy!
