Accounting Class Visits Truman State Univeristy

Truman State University extended an invitation for Putnam County’s Accounting students to visit Truman's campus to explore the Business Offices and the Business School. It was a wonderful experience for the students to see and hear how a college pays bills, keeps track of expenses, orders and pays for assets. Mr. Eric Davis met with us in his office where he processes payroll for the entire university and describes the challenges and delights of his job.  We bumped into some of our own Putnam County Alumni, which always brings a smile to our faces. After the tour of the Business Offices, we met with the Admissions office and watched a presentation of Truman State University’s attributes and programs for incoming students. Then we walked to Ryle Hall where we were treated to lunch by the Business School, which was a pleasant surprise. Afterward, Dr. Stacey Kaden and two Accounting Students (who previously greeted us at the Business School with lockout games) gave us some Truman swag and cool treats to take home. It was a great experience for our students and a fun day! Thank you Truman State University!
